Jenny is a certified E-RYT 200 RYT 500 yoga instructor and a Level II iRest® Yoga Nidra Teacher-in-Training. Always a student, Jenny is committed to continuous learning to inform both her personal practice and her teaching. She completed her first 200-hr. certification in 2013 and has since trained under local and international yoga and mindfulness teachers, including Annie Carpenter, John Friend, Desi Springer, Heather Peterson, and more.

A teacher of teachers, Jenny is a 200-hr. teacher training lead. She also develops and facilitates workshops, special classes and series, and leads international yoga retreats.

Before she ever stepped on a mat, Jenny nurtured a long love affair with movement and the body as a means of creative and emotional expression. She began her yoga practice, as many do, through asana. The more time Jenny spent on her mat, the more she was drawn into the meditative aspects of yoga and the deep relationship between mind, body, and Self. What she found on her mat, she strives to cultivate in her students: the tools to move more mindfully both on the mat and in their daily lives.

Jenny received her Master’s in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago specializing in community development, and has experience in social, environmental, and reproductive justice efforts. After years as a poverty and economic security researcher working to inform meaningful social change, these days teaching yoga and meditation is what brings Jenny closest to the change she hopes to help create in the world.

Jenny offers private and small group yoga and meditation sessions (in-person and virtually), and teaches group yoga classes at studios in Austin, TX.
